As we look forward to the manufacturing future, we can understand what the competitive landscape would be, so we can prepare for it, and we can understand the competitive rules the future manufacturing would have.

2. What are the major interests for China to launch the Industry 4.0 Projects? Industry transformation, upscaling value chain, catch-up with developed countries?
If China launched the Industry 4.0 Projects, China can stay updated with the rest of the world. As the world is transforming, China should do it, too. At the same time, China might have the chance to upscale the value chains, catch up with developed countries.

3. How could Industry 4.0 help China to compete with developed nations in Manufacturing? Do you have examples where developed countries relocate their manufacturing in their own country with Industry 4.0?
Industry 4.0 is coined by German. I think Industry 4.0 has a system of theories and applications, and Chinese companies can learn from these theories and applications. Deal with a man as he deals with you. I think China can understand the international rules the developed countries are playing now and in the future. China Academy of Industrie 4.0 have interests on the examples provided by Siemens, ABB, Kuka, GE, and BMW.
