China Manufacturing 2025 & Industry 4.0 (Beijing, 7.16)

2015-07-13

Industry 4.0, the so-called fourth industrial revolution - after steam, electricity and information - connects machines to a network where production processes and speeds are automatically adjusted to minimise issues and costs. It has been attracting a great deal of attention from all over the world, especially after China’s State Council unveiled the China Manufacturing 2025 blueprint, which is widely seen as a counterpart to Germany's Industry 4.0 strategy - an effort to create a manufacturing revolution underpinned by smart technologies. The ambition is to turn China into a leading manufacturing nation within a decade, with the priority on digitalisation and modernisation.

The European Chamber is organizing a seminar on these two strategies and industry experts will share their insights and give a comprehensive answer to the following questions:

* What is the context of these two strategy plans?

* How will these two strategies influence the Chinese economy, business environment and manufacturing and information industry?

* What are the challenges and opportunities for European companies in China? How can the benefit in the “New Normal” era?
